Fashion trends change from year to year and engagement ring styles are no different.  This year we’re seeing a push towards color, mixed metals, and more ornate bands. Here are a few of our favorite 2015 trends.

1.  Yellow gold and rose gold accents: Many women are being drawn back to yellow gold rather than the white gold and platinum that has recently been so popular.  They’re making a statement with a brighter color and for some, yellow gold is more flattering on their skin tone.  Aside from having a pretty pink shade, rose gold also flatters almost all skin tones making it a great option for a bride-to-be who wants a more modern engagement ring.

2.  Mixed metals:  A single shade isn’t the only way to go these days.  Many rings today use multiple metals on halos or even just for the prongs that the diamond is set it.  It’s a fun metallic pop while still keeping an overall neutral color palate.

3.  Twists and infinity symbols:  While simple, minimalistic bands are still beautiful and show off the beauty of your diamond.  However, we are seeing more ornate bands making an appearance this year.  Twists and infinity symbols seem to be the main trend, probably because they are a romantic symbol of two lives intertwined.

4.  Opaque and colorful diamonds: Fancy-hued diamonds, like yellow and pink, stand out from the crowd without feeling too over the top. If you want to make a bolder statement, try an ultra-modern chocolate or black diamond.  If that’s too bold of a statement for you but you still want some color, try adding some colorful accent diamonds to the band instead.
